The cottage offers generous living space, thoughtfully converted from what was once a garage and, before that, likely a traditional barn. This bright, open‑plan area includes a modern kitchen, dining space, a cosy ground‑floor lounge, and a mezzanine level designed for relaxed living.
The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located in the original cottage, which dates back to 1709 and was fully renovated in 2019. This blend of historic character and contemporary comfort creates a warm, welcoming place to unwind.

Yes, there is amble parking available at Fa’side Cottage. We can easily accommodate up to 3 cars.

We have a Short Term Let Licence for up to 6 adults (2 double beds and 1 King Size bed). Children in cots do not count towards licence restrictions.

We often get asked if we can accommodate early check-in or late check out. We are happy to accommodate where we do not have a same day turnover and generally will not be able to confirm till much closer to the date of your booking.

Our book direct policy includes a 50% non-refundable deposit. However, we often do refund (less financial transaction charges) if we get enough notice to enable us to resell the dates.
Our Airbnb policy is Strict. This means that guests can cancel 7 or more days before check-in, but after the 24-hour cancellation period, they’ll receive 50% refund including full taxes. If cancellation is less than 7 days before check-in, guests receive a refund of pro-rated taxes.

Of course! Let us know if you need use of our Baby Bjorn cot when booking and will ensure it is set up for your arrival. We also have a high-chair and baby change for younger guests. Please be aware that we have a spiral stair case which we cannot fit a stairgate onto, should this be an issue.

We do allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs. We have a friendly dog who lives with us next door. We prefer that dogs don’t go upstairs to the carpeted bedrooms and dogs are not allowed on beds and sofas. We ask that owners take care that their dog does not use the spiral staircase just in case they get stuck. Our grounds are absolute dog heaven with plenty of space to exercise and lots of smells. Please note we keep chickens in our stable yard and sheep and goats in our front field. Whilst they are fenced in with stock fencing, dog owners should make an judgement as to whether that will be an issue.

Our rural postcode has been marooned by recent house building meaning our postcode (G77 6RT) is not as helpful as in the past.

We use a Smartlock meaning each guest gets sent an unique code for use during their stay. Guests will be sent a code 24 hrs before their stay. We also send a video on how to use for those who have never used one before.
